Welcome to episode 16 of AI in Action, the podcast that breaks down the hype and explores the impact that Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are making on our everyday lives.
Our goal is to share with you the insights of technologists and data science enthusiasts to showcase the excellent work that is been done within AI in Ireland.
My guest on the show today is Callum Donnelly, who is the co-founder of Parrotscribe. Set up earlier this year, ParrotScribe allows users to collate important commercial data from customer and internal communication in one place from voice call transcripts, emails and instant messages.
Their platform captures valuable data from audio calls with a low-cost transcription engine during or after a call and then you can transcribe the entire call or alternatively use their call time duration slider that allows you to transcribe sections of any phone call.
In today’s mini-episode, Callum will tell you about:
What his voice recognition platform Parrotscribe is all about
How not being able to read his own handwriting inspired him to set it up
The importance of customer insights and feedback in creating the product
His journey as an entrepreneur and being able to experiment with a new startup company
How Voice AI and automation will impact the market, such as the RegTech and Fintech sectors
His predictions for how Artificial Intelligence will impact the workplace
What did you make of Callum’s podcast? Where do you see the future of Artificial Intelligence and voice recognition technology heading in the next few years? I would love to hear your thoughts so please leave a comment below.
